It's Child's Play
We love doing murals, so when we were approached to reproduce artworks designed by Christchurch school kids, naturally we wanted to be part of the production. It would be fair to say murals are one of our specialties and outdoor murals are a bit rarer than their more common indoor counterparts. Keeping in mind we were dealing with exposure to mother nature we came up with the right product for the job and our attention to detail saw the project turn out a stunner.
Project: Margaret Mahy Family Playground
Client: Spectrum Print / CERA
Background on project:
The playground is believed to be one of the largest in the Southern Hemisphere. It has been designed with input from the city’s school children, and to reflect Canterbury’s four main habitat types with a forest zone, a peninsula zone, a plains zone and a wetlands area. Some of the highlights are the double flying fox, a four metre wide slide, water-play areas and a spider climbing net.
The artwork on the Facilities block at the Margaret Mahy Family Playground was provided by Canterbury school children. They entered the Tremendous Tatty Patchwork colouring competition and the winning entries feature on the walls.
What we did:
Digitally printed and applied graphics to utilities block @ the playground
