Two and a Half Decades Strong!
From 1999 to 2024, Adgraphix is celebrating its 25th year on a journey that has seen innovation and passion for creating print, sign, and display excellence. Looking back, there is a clear pattern of pushing the envelope and adopting technology to provide cutting-edge solutions. In 1999, our desire was to offer a new approach to large format digital printing. Identifying a gap in the market, with trade backgrounds in sign and print, we designed a service through the eyes of the customer. Our approach was simple yet impactful - solid products, seamless file handling (no small feat at the time), an advanced understanding of colour, product application expertise, all coupled with unprecedented quick turnaround times.
Cover it in Style
Cover Styl is a range of self-adhesive films designed to reimagine a space without the need for extensive renovations. Easily bring a tired space up to date with a fresh look from the catalogue of designs and textures. Upgrading with self-adhesive films is simple, less disruptive, and lower in cost than traditional renovations.
Pantone Without Pantone?
There is a lot of commotion in the graphic design world regarding how Pantone fits into the colour specification picture, now that they have parted existing ways with Adobe. Regardless of which side of the fence you stand on, we can clarify how it affects the work we do for you, and more importantly, how we handle Pantone colours, whether you use the new Pantone Connect swatches or not.
Text On The Vertical
Which way should text go when running vertically for signage? Downward some would say, that's how many books do it; upward others would say, that's how our eyes naturally track; stacked would also be suggested. Which one should you follow? Well you be the judge because in fact, its is really down to personal opinion and what pleases your eyes.
To Cover... Or Not?
Picture this... You've got an awesome design on your company vehicle, and then you find out to your shock the car is not legal when you get your next WOF. Vehicle types MA, MB, MC and NA means a lot when it comes to vehicle graphics. Many passenger cars will not meet WOF regulations with decals on windows. We've done our share of research and question asking to highlight some passenger vehicle basics of what you need to know about what you plan to cover.
Video - The Adgraphix Difference
We made a video, well actually Sweet As Media made a video. We spend a lot of time and effort showcasing our work and our customers, but not so much including ourselves. Rest assured we don't have plans to make a habit of this cause we love to show off our creations more than anything.
Use Our Wheels
Don't get stuck ‘in’ when getting your vehicle wrapped! Booking your vehicle for signwriting with Adgraphix doesn't mean you'll have to spend the whole day unproductive in the office - instead of out on the road where you'd rather to be. Have a normal day by taking full advantage of our Holden Equinox courtesy vehicle which is all yours for the time it takes to signwrite your wheels, subject to availability and T&C's.
Judging Books By Covers
We all know the classic line aye... "Don't judge a book by its cover" - but like it or not, we make judgements every day. We prejudge the worth or value of something by its outward appearance alone, whether it be people, cars, food, shops, signage or business brands. Some of us care more than others about who and what we are choosing, but we all make decisions on these judgements based on what we have seen.
Adgraphix turns twenty
2019 is our twentieth year. Actually, March to be precise but we can't pinpoint the day - it's all a blur. One thing for sure is in a lot of ways things now still have a lot of simularities to 1999. We started out with a printer that had just been released, and still today we have a printer that's just been released. We love innovating, and providing Christchurch and New Zealand with the very latest options available. It's cool to have been part of some really creative uses of the technology we invest in (22 printing machines for the 20 years to be precise).
The East Frame
As New Zealand's leading printer of fence wrap, what an ideal project it was to produce these artworks for displaying in the community. The designs were produced by the very creative students from two schools in The East Frame, a project being run by Ōtākaro as part of the recovery plan. Read more to see what it is all about.
