Rugby World Cup Dome
As you’re all aware the 2019 rugby world cup is setting the world alight from September the 20th and with host nation Japan it’s going to be epic. Thinking about the world cup took me back to when New Zealand hosted the 2011 Rugby World Cup, and what a momentous occasion that was, and who could forget that nail biting final against France.
That's A Standout
Garden Box had refreshed branding and a huge amount of canvas to put it on show. They wanted to make a statement, and for their brand to really stand out. We identified areas where they could maximise brand exposure with a range of products that could slot easily into their environment. The end result was outstanding.
Judging Books By Covers
We all know the classic line aye... "Don't judge a book by its cover" - but like it or not, we make judgements every day. We prejudge the worth or value of something by its outward appearance alone, whether it be people, cars, food, shops, signage or business brands. Some of us care more than others about who and what we are choosing, but we all make decisions on these judgements based on what we have seen.
Adgraphix turns twenty
2019 is our twentieth year. Actually, March to be precise but we can't pinpoint the day - it's all a blur. One thing for sure is in a lot of ways things now still have a lot of simularities to 1999. We started out with a printer that had just been released, and still today we have a printer that's just been released. We love innovating, and providing Christchurch and New Zealand with the very latest options available. It's cool to have been part of some really creative uses of the technology we invest in (22 printing machines for the 20 years to be precise).
Pre-flight Yoga Anyone?
We like to think were a pretty chilled out lot, and capable of performing well under pressure. Some might say we've got an inner printing, signage and display peace??? Okay we'll make the link to Yoga and meditation here. Our good friends at Christchurch International Airport had a wee project to turn a corner of the international departure lounge into a stretch and relax flight preparation zone. With legs crossed and our thinking hats on we came up with solutions to see the concept come to life. Absolute beginners to seasoned professionals will feel right at home in this fantastic space for yoga, pilates or meditation.
The East Frame
As New Zealand's leading printer of fence wrap, what an ideal project it was to produce these artworks for displaying in the community. The designs were produced by the very creative students from two schools in The East Frame, a project being run by Ōtākaro as part of the recovery plan. Read more to see what it is all about.
Splash Back Magic
Here we feature some projects we have worked on with AJ Creative Glass. Over the years they have perfected a system that produces a very robust product. Combining their wealth of knowledge and experience, with our quality printing and attention to detail, every image is presented beautifully behind the clean polished glass. There literally is no limitation on what image you can use, it's all up to your imagination.
Dressing Up The Aisles
We all love a project that goes like clockwork. Sometimes simplicity really is the key. We were asked to come up with a simple system that could be easily used by a number of stores throughout the country. Fortunately we have a large diversity of products and manufacturing capability, so coming up with the right system was well within our means. Creative thinking, happy customer - sweet as.
Hidden On Show
Salmond Reed Architects Ltd approached us with an idea inspired by many European heritage sites to produce printed scrim as a photograph to cover the iconic Otago University Clock Tower, so that much needed stone conservation could continue behind on the scaffold, rather than dismantling the scaffold at great cost to the University for the mid-May Graduands’ Ceremony.
